PHILEAS HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED!!!

Word from Jamie McClellan. It seems that he has gone renegade, abducting Phileas out of the country! Interpol are on alert. Here is the message from Jamie:

" G, since there's not been much surf on Hatteras Island of late, we're lighting out to chase waves in the Caribbean for 10 days. Phileas has been kidnapped,

The project will have to go on hold until when/if we get back.

Sorry Tim in NY but you will just have to wait a little longer.

Jamie"

So all we know is that Phileas is going to be somewhere in the Caribbean. Worrying times for sure. Lets just pray for a safe return. And some waves. And some pics. And some footage.

On second thoughts... Get on it Jamie!!!

Cheers

Phileas hit the Outer Banks

Phileas by Jamie McClellan

Word from Jamie McClellan in North Carolina. Phileas has been getting a look in. One session in and Jamie says:

"...two sessions, every single wave a closeout. Mat went great despite it all."

I asked:  "Any decent stills prior to your trips to the bottom? Taking one for the team?"

"Surfed alone." came the reply. "Soon though."

Can't wait.

Phileas in Florida Pt 2

I've just had an email from John Hughes and it seems that the day sight seeing around Cocoa Beach has broken the bad surf hoodoo.

John says:

Woohoo! Philias must be good luck.We had the best waves of the summer and the pics to prove it.

Hurricane Eduardo delivered the goods! Philias finally got to stretch his [Ed: Her!] legs after the long international flight. The mat is fast and loose and switches up from a high speed run to a tail-out drift with with just a subtle shift of the hips.

It also loves running the whitewater and I found myself running parallel to the soup, switching right and left just because I could.

We are supposed to have more waves in a few days but unfortunately it is time for Phileas to hit the road. Next stop is for Jamie McClellan in the tube wonderland of the Outer Banks, North Carolina.

Aloha y'all- John

Thanks a lot for hosting Phileas John. Looks like you had a blast. Many thanks to Hurricane Eduardo for coming up with the goods.

Can't wait to see how Jamie gets on.

The Shetland Files

Sean Stansfield, possibly the most isolated GP in the British Isles, was kind enough to host Phileas on the first step of her journey. Sean has been busy saving lives and getting sorted for his impending move back to the mainland but he has managed to get some footage out.

Sean wasn't blessed with waves but gave it a good go! As sod's law would have it, Sean had some great waves the very next day with Phileas but that spot wasn't accessible with the camera.

Sod's law!

Anyway, great sport and good fun from Sean.

Cheers
