MATSURFERS.COM ARCHIVE
Before becoming a mat builder I set up a web forum for matsurfers in the UK to come together to surf, imaginitively named UK Mat Surfers. At that point, around 2008, there were probably no more than 10 mat riders in the UK and the global population was certainly under 200. The forum quickly became very popular with people around the globe and eventually was renamed MatSurfers to recognise this. It also developed into a website which has been a helpful resource for surfmat riders from across the globe for over a decade.
There was always a tricky balance for me being a mat builder and running the site. I decided to freeze activity on the site at the end of 2023, continuing to pay for it being hosted since but with ever rising costs this is now pretty expensive so at the end of 2025 I have decided to acrchive it on the Way Back Machine.
